Having won a commission based largely on our costumed antics (see previous penguin POST), Richard and I were suddenly faced with the task of actually shooting an advert for Kopparberg cider based around the concept of a journeying penguin.
We pulled together a wondercrew for an extremely productive one day shoot in the woods. Massive thanks and appreciations go to Julie Elgar, our incredible costume designer, whose fantastic work always stuns me. It was a bit of a 'MUSICAL STAR!' reunion overall and once again, it was a joy to work with everyone. BIG props to Steve Serlin, who did an amazing job in the role of a humourless Scandinavian Penguin... and who remained utterly professional even when taking direction from a man dressed as a Polar bear.
We've got a very fast turnaround with this one (our deadline is Feb 1st). I can't wait to start cutting tomorrow and am particularly happy to be working with a few very talented folk whom I never got the chance to collaborate with during the last two years here at the NFTS. I'm pretty damn excited about this one!
The Penguin Man cometh.
